National health insurance does not cover the cost of chiropractic and acupuncture treatment in Japan, although private companies pay for the treatment in some cases, such as car accidents.

If you have private insurance coverage, we will fill out any necessary forms.

About Dr. Otani

Dr. Otani graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic(Iowa,USA) in 1981 and has been practicing in Tokyo since 1983.

He is also a fully certified acupuncturist .
He originally attended Tokyo Educational University which now is known as Tsukuba University. He went there not only to learn acupuncture but to learn how to teach students to do acupuncture, massage and acupressure(shiatsu). He graduated in 1973.
To become a licenced chiropractor in the United States, one must have two years of college and then go on to an accredited school for four more years. In Japan, however, the speciality of chiropractic is not recognized, so no license to practice is required.

Tokyu Toyoko Line, Toritsu-daigaku Station

Direction

5mins Walk from Toritsudaigaku-station which has only one exit. After getting out of the exit, turn left and walk toward Mitsubishi-UFJ bank cross Meguro-street. Turn left at the first corner, after you pass Mitsubishi-UFJ bank. Then go straight along the shopping street for about 150meters. The clinic is located on the right hand side.

Driving direction

When you come from center of Tokyo on Meguro-dori, Turn right at “Toritsudaigaku-eki”cross section. when you come from Todoroki on Meguro-dori, right after going pass “Aoyama”,men’s suit shop, turn left the first corner.

when you come from Komazawa-dori, turn right/left at the corner of BBQ restaurant “Tokyo-en”
